Originally a qualified nurse after gaining a Diploma in Nursing at London Southbank University, I worked in a number of hospital departments around the country from A&E to Neonatal.

After several years of nursing, I decided to pursue my childhood ambition of becoming a midwife. You often hear people refer to midwifery as "a calling", and for me this was certainly true. There has never been anything else I have wanted to do other than helping families during one of their most vulnerable but life changing moments in their lives. I gained my Midwifery Degree with Honors at St George's University London, working at Kingston University Hospital and Epsom & St Helier Hospital as a trainee and qualified midwife.

After spending a number of years working in the Middle East, providing post-natal home care and witnessing the difficulties women experience in breastfeeding, I decided to study to become an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC).

Additionally, I am a fully qualified Hypnobirth practitioner, trained by the NHS in 2017 and therefore an advocate for this method of birthing.
